This opportunity is based in Dublin and offers the successful candidate a real opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders and understand how the Inspection business arm of a large Engineering Insurance company operates. It will give you invaluable insight into what it takes to work in fast paced role as part of a large well known corporation, as well as the skills and technical know-how you need to become a successful underwriter and technical specialist of the future.
The Role: Your main role is to support business targets in relation to Engineering Inspection and Insurance products for Allianz Ireland. You will be servicing Broker and Client accounts in particular with quoting and selling of new business, renewal retention, control of lapses and credit control queries ensuring you underwrite within defined parameters in a consistent and profitable manner.
On a daily basis, you'll ensure customer satisfaction by building rapport, interacting with our Belfast and Manchester offices together with our Regional Distribution team. You will develop key relationships and provide excellent service to external and internal customers that will guarantee new business growth and retention.
Key Responsibilities: Quote and convert new business opportunities presented by brokers.Actively engaging in prospecting activities to secure new business growth.Handle general accounting queries within agreed service standards.Undertake the renewal of existing business cases with mid-term adjustments including compilation of data for referral.Process policy adjustments as requested by our customers.Consistently demonstrate our People Attributes of customer and market excellence, collaborative leadership, trust and entrepreneurship.Negotiate within authority and refer where appropriate to maximise customer growth including persuading, influencing and convincing customers of the benefits of an opposed course of action.Comply with the Financial Regulator's Minimum Competency Code, Consumer Protection Code and any other relevant regulations.Essential Skills & Desirable SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Creative approach to problem solving.Attention to detail and accuracy.A high level of motivation and commitment.A willingness to learn and develop.A positive attitude and a growth mindset.Flexibility, resilience, and intellectual curiosity.Ability to collaborate, prioritise tasks, and work on multiple assignments.Accessible Application Process For AllAs part of the Disability Confident Scheme, we enable access to candidates with disabilities or long term health conditions through the Offer An Interview Scheme.
