Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate creation of sustainability reporting disclosures for the entities in the Dublin Global Accounting Center. This will include collaboration across multiple internal and external stakeholders, enhanced disclosure compliance, ensuring that external sustainability reporting aligns with UPS's enterprise-wide strategies and commitments, and that the Dublin GAC is up to date with emerging sustainability regulations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities include: Develop strong understanding of Sustainability reporting frameworks (CSRD, CSDDD, MCD) and regulatory requirements to advise on the impact to the Dublin GAC.Ensure compliance with relevant standards and frameworks including CSRD, CSDDD, ISSB, at entity level within the Dublin GAC. Monitor emerging sustainability regulations (CSDDD, ISSB, etc.) for overlap and alignment; monitor final adoption of CSRD by country, incorporating additional reporting requirements as needed.Create and manage sustainability disclosures at individual entity level that align with the wider UPS' sustainability goals and reporting process.Understand the company's internal control process to capture and validate sustainability data and ensure any gaps in the process are communicated clearly and timely.Create standardized policies and procedures for sustainability data capture and reporting to support consistency of information across the organization.Ensure audit-readiness of sustainability data, including sufficient documentation of accuracy and completeness; collaborate with internal, external auditors, and other stakeholders during the assurance process.Assist with the creation and validation of CSRD disclosures, work with F&A teams to produce reports and incorporate into statutory reporting process.Qualified candidates will have the following Key Skills: Excellent communication, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.Strong time management and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment.Strong interpersonal skills and drive cross-functional collaboration, alignment, and change management.Analytical, data-driven, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage for results.Self-motivated and resourceful with a strong sense of integrity; is highly skilled at applying intuition, asking questions to better understand, and quickly connecting the dots across data, processes, and systems.Ability to create an environment that encourages diversity of thought, perspective, and an inclusive workplace.Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word); advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.Knowledge Requirements Required: Minimum of 3-5 years of finance and accounting experience.Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in finance, accounting, or business.Experience working with ESG frameworks, including CSRD, TCFD, etc.Qualified or partly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).Detailed knowledge of technical accounting processes.Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Preferred: US GAAP experience/shared service environment.Audit and Statutory Accounting experience.Previous experience working with an outsourced accounting function.Employee Type:
