Handy Hardware , Unit T, Ballymount Drive, Ballymount Road Lower, Ballymount, Dublin, D12 PK81, part of HPC Sales Ltd., Irelands' leading Builders Providers and Home Improvement/DIY Store, is looking for a full-time, Permanent, Van Sales Representative to join our Team.
Job Purpose: As the Handy Hardware Deliver to You Van Sales Representative, you will drive a company van to visit customers, deliver products and generate sales, through direct interactions and order-taking.
Your role involves building rapport with clients and customers, promoting products and achieving sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities: Drive a company-owned van to assigned customer locations to conduct sales visits and deliveries.
Load and unload products from the van, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper handling of goods.
Establish and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers, addressing their needs and preferences to increase sales, providing up to date information to the Sales Director and sales team.
Take orders from customers, process sales transactions, issuing receipts or invoices for purchases via email.
Cross-sell or upsell additional products or services to customers to increase order value and meet sales targets using our sister companies - TJ O Mahony, PH Ross & HPC Insulation.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and inventory levels using sales software or databases.
Monitor competitor activities, market trends and customer feedback, to identify opportunities and challenges in the sales region.
Participate in sales meetings, training sessions and product knowledge sessions to stay updated on company offerings and sales techniques.
Resolve customer complaints, issues or concerns, if any, in a timely and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
Follow safety protocols and driving regulations while operating the company van, ensuring safe transportation of products and personnel.
Uphold company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sales and customer interactions.
Any other duties as required in accordance with the requirements of the business.
Skills & Requirements: Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
Product knowledge with proven experience of sales in a target driven environment with a sales-oriented mindset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail, customer relationship management and a customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Problem-solving skills, familiarity with sales techniques, negotiation and closing strategies.
Adaptability and flexibility to work in diverse environments and handle various customer situations.
