Maintenance Technician Location: Ringaskiddy Permanent 39 hours per week Overview of the role: The Maintenance Technician will be part of the Veolia site team at our clients site in Ringaskiddy.
He/she will liaise with the contract team, client engineering, equipment vendors and service providers to ensure maximum uptime of utilities plant and equipment within the contract scope, and that equipment is following all regulatory, statutory and client corporate requirements.
Day to day of the role; Day-to-day relationship with Veolia Contract Manage and Day-to-day relationship with Veolia Site Planner/Scheduler with client Engineering Managers and representatives.
Day-to-day relationship with client Shift Leads and Maintenance Foremen.
Trouble-shooting and high-level investigation of utility plant equipment faults and failures - root cause analysis.
Compliance/quality engineering - recording and investigation of deviations on qualified utility plant and equipment, using client's quality system.
Supervision of Service Providers for site water systems plant maintenance within the contract.
Liaising with site projects team to ensure that all relevant information is captured for the purpose of implementing task lists and schedules on the CMMS.
Support the Site Maintenance Technical Team in the identification, analysis, design, costing, and implementation of Preventative Maintenance works.
Performing data collection activities to inform in-depth investment grade audits.
Frontline maintenance and trouble-shooting, where necessary, of Helpdesk, building services and building fabric issues Management of and liaison with sub-contractors when on site Interaction with building personnel to ensure all relevant requests are responded to and Complete site documentation before and after work tasks, as appropriate Participate in the appropriate training.
Carry out Risk Assessment of Equipment Maintenance Task List steps and ensure these are always kept valid.
Be familiar with all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) rules and regulations where appropriate and be familiar with Statutory requirements Be responsible for training curriculum and ensure missing requirements are completed Participate in Audits and follow up on actions Ensure all tools and equipment are kept in good condition Drive local reviews of maintenance performance data using published maintenance excellence KPI results Ensure that the CMMS systems contains the most up to date information regarding equipment data, spares and maintenance man-hours Contribute to process improvement/optimisation from an engineering viewpoint Analysis of new technology for optimisation of plant and processes Management of audit action items generated from various site, corporate, cGMP and EHS audits, relevant to equipment in scope Ensuring Engineering areas, in liaison with service providers, facilities and equipment are kept in a clean, safe and serviceable condition, and high standards of general Housekeeping are maintained.
Ensure that all work on site is carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines Be responsible for his/her training curricula and ensure missing requirements are completed.
Required skills for the role; Trade qualification (National Craft Cert, City & Guilds or Equivalent), preferably Plumbing/ mechanical services, with five to ten years post apprenticeship experience.
(Essential) Maintenance and troubleshooting experience of the following systems and processes: Water systems in HVAC; High Pressure Hot Water, Low Pressure Hot Water and Domestic Hot & Cold Water Systems; (Essential) Self-motivation, ability to work alone and as part of team Good communication and interpersonal skills Computer Skills (Excel, Word Teams etc) Legionella qualification (Desirable) Experience in a Supervisory role Experience in maintenance Planning and maintenance Computer system Maintenance and troubleshooting experience Please note: ?If you are an EU/EEA national, you will be asked to show proof of right to work in Ireland.
