Role Title: Senior Clinical Psychologist in Paediatric Mental Health Role Location: Carrickmines 360 Centre A full-time, permanent vacancy has arisen for the role of Senior Clinical Psychologist in Paediatrics.
The successful candidate will work as a member of the paediatric team providing services to children and families in the Vhi 360 Clinic in Carrickmines who are referred for ADHD Assessment including pharmacological and non-pharmacological management.

Psychological assessments for the client group based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of data from a variety of sources including psychological tests, self-report measures, direct and indirect observation and interviews with clients, family members and / or carers.
Carry out individual and group-based interventions for specific ages and/or presenting difficulties.
Participating as a full member of the MDT understanding and facilitating multidisciplinary team working.
Working in collaboration with the other members of the team in the planning and delivery of services for children.
Demonstrating innovation in working within resource limitations to sustain and enhance the service.
Education & Experience Hold a recognized university degree (NQAI Level 8 equivalent) obtained with first- or second-class honours in which psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject or hold a recognized qualification equivalent to above AND Hold a post-graduate professional qualification in either clinical or counselling psychology recognized by the Psychological Society of Ireland Have at least eight years satisfactory post graduate experience in professional psychology in which the position is designated inclusive of any time spent in pursuing a course leading to the postgraduate qualification and including at least three years satisfactory experience in a senior capacity.
OR Hold a post graduate professional qualification validated by the Department of Health and Children in Clinical Psychology.
Be eligible for Senior Grade i.e.
have a minimum of 2 years experience working at staff grade level in a position relevant to the advertised post.

Skills and Abilities Have experience of working with children, adolescents, and families who have experienced mental health difficulties & neurodevelopmental disorders.
Have three years full time (or an aggregate of three years) post qualification clinical experience with experience in Child and Adolescent services.
Demonstrate clinical knowledge, clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice appropriate to carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the role in line with relevant legislation and standards.
Demonstrate evidence of having applied / used appropriate assessment tools and treatments and a knowledge of the implications of outcomes for service users.
Demonstrate the knowledge, abilities and technical skills required to provide safe, efficient and effective service in practice.
