We are seeking a visual designer who is passionate about design, detail-oriented, has a strong visual design sense, and can work closely with cross-functional teams to design modern and user-friendly products.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a visual designer in IBM Automation, you will:
Create high-fidelity mockups, graphics, design patterns, prototypes and demosParticipate in conversations around common patterns, assets and efficiencies within the product spaceCollaborate directly with your design team and developers to build out, update and modernize software product user interfacesShare work in progress, along with giving and receiving critiquesCollaborate with a wide variety of people (UX designers, content designers, developers, product owners, etc.) across our worldwide teamsUnderstand business problems across our customer set in order to have context for deliverables. Required Technical and Professional Expertise Significant experience that includes:
- Creating visually compelling artifacts, icons, high fidelity mockups and other graphical elements for user interface
- Design principles (typography, layout, imagery, color, creating efficiencies in visual design workflows, etc.)
- Key design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud applicationsPortfolio of previous work must be presentedProven communication skills and an ability to drill down to a customer's requirementsComfortable working in a dynamic, team based environmentAn awesome and positive attitude. Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise Understand modern design thinking and design trends (including responsiveness and accessibility)Have an appreciation for detail — every pixel and interaction is important
