The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Capital Markets & Trading, the VP Capital Markets & Trading will be based in our Dublin office. This is an exciting time to join the team as we optimise our capital raising and aircraft trading strategies in a fast-changing marketplace.
Role Responsibilities: Build and maintain a comprehensive network of relationships with leasing companies, financial institutions and other investors for the purpose of aircraft trading and capital raising.Identify, prepare and implement specific trading and funding raising strategies that are both creative and address the capital and portfolio management requirements of the business.Leverage internal teams and expertise to develop bespoke monetisation strategies for aircraft.Originate opportunities and lead the negotiation of Letters of Intent for transactions including aircraft acquisitions and disposal, capital raising and structured transactions.Lead and manage cross functional internal Deal Teams with energy.Manage the preparation of transaction approval and group Board papers.Be an ambassador for the Capital Markets & Trading team internally and externally.Communicate up-to-date market information throughout the organisation.Seek out mentorship, advice, and challenging opportunities to learn. The Person:
You will be driven, focused and resourceful as well as being a creative problem solver. You will represent Avolon with transparency, honesty and integrity, setting a strong example for others to follow. You will be able to articulate complex concepts in a concise way and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all seniority levels and audiences within Avolon and the industry.
Essential Skills and Experience: A minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience, ideally to include aircraft trading experience.Highly numerate with a strong quantitative, financial or engineering background.Utilizes existing relationships, interpersonal skills, market intel and other connections to develop, nurture and maintain business relationships.Demonstrated ability in leading and managing deal/project teams, with the ability to manage multiple complex transactions in high pressure situations, including early identification and resolution of key transactional issues.Strong and independent minded with the ability to express your views with conviction, showing bravery in confronting established thought while recognising alternative perspectives.Proven track record in delivering successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.Enjoys global travel and have the capability to travel extensively.
