The Role: The successful candidate will focus on the development and implementation of Avolon's public creditor relations programme and will report directly to the Head of Corporate Development & Investor Relations. The role will play a central role in establishing Avolon's position as a sector leading investment grade issuer.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage relationships with key institutional fixed income contacts, sell-side analysts and other market participants in order to drive investor appetite into Avolon in the unsecured bond markets and differentiate Avolon from its competitors. Develop and maintain the company's investor relations outreach plan including planning and organising non-deal roadshows in conjunction with sell-side analysts and investment banks. Liaise with Portfolio Management, FP&A, Finance and other internal departments to develop key messages to support Avolon's public creditor relations programme. Conduct competitor and industry research and stay current with changes in the aviation market and impact on Avolon's business. Manage the development of materials for, and organise logistics for, quarterly earnings calls and marketing events. Represent Avolon during marketing events, including conference attendance and non-deal roadshows. Report market context and investor feedback to senior management and the organisation. Support investor interaction associated with public debt issuances. Work with media relations company and internal communications team to ensure appropriate public disclosures. The Person: The successful candidate will have exceptionally strong communication skills with the ability to develop, communicate and challenge the key messages of the Company to senior management and to investors. The candidate will have strong analytical abilities, be driven and resourceful. The candidate must be capable of working across functional teams to gather information and develop key messages on tight timelines. Attention to detail, strong communication skills and experience of interpreting financial statements are also prerequisites. They will be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
Essential Skills and Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in an aviation leasing, capital markets, finance or fixed income/equity analyst role. Performance driven and focused on ambitious goals with a clear track record of creating value for the business. A trusted advisor, with an ability to develop a depth and breadth of business relationships internally and externally at key decision maker level. Consistently acquires new knowledge across a broad range of topics and seeks out challenging experiences to learn. Leverages in-depth knowledge of the aircraft leasing/aviation business model and key sector trends and issues to inform thinking and actions. Strong verbal and written communication skills who can communicate clearly and persuasively and interact effectively with senior management, with a proven ability to convey strategic and financial messages. Able to distil and discuss complex messages into key takeaways putting forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and audiences within Avolon and the industry. Assumes ownership, remaining resourceful and self-motivated with an ability to think independently and proactively identify opportunities. Proactive mindset that anticipates challenges and exhibits an ability to think clearly and quickly through complex and dynamic situations.
