YOUR JOB: Assistant Managers (2ICs) are responsible for assisting and deputising for the Warehouse Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department and team.
The Warehouse Assistant Manager will therefore, need to make certain that standards of customer satisfaction are maintained at all times thus ensuring revenue is optimised.

YOUR QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: Strong Leader of People: Demonstrating strong leadership skills which help provide direction, build loyalty & trust, and maintain motivation & focus within a team.
Performance Coaching: Enhancing individual and team performance by raising awareness and responsibility, creating a culture of ongoing development with a focus on developing knowledge, skills and attitudes to positively influence performance, potential, results and the achievement of company objectives.
Hardworking, Conscientious and Self Motivated: Ability to focus efforts and energy on successfully achieving standards of excellence in delivery of goals and objectives.
Problem Solver / Analytical: The ability to reduce a problem effectively to its root cause, and then use a logical approach to find a workable, practical, and affordable solution.
Strong Warehouse Experience Ideally you will have a strong background in a warehousing role, and a hunger to excel, meet goals.
Industry and product knowledge in any of the categories sold by Harvey Norman such as furniture, interiors, cooking, technology, and appliances is preferred - but not essential.
Key Responsibilities: Assist the Management Team in delivering the warehouse targets.
Actively promote the provision of best possible service to our customers whilst maintaining good staff relations.
In the absence of the Warehouse Manager, manage the employees and activities.
Maintain and improve standards.
Monitor and assess KPI's and where appropriate implement timely corrective actions.
Maintain a working environment in line with Health & Safety & Quality legislation and ensure that employees are trained accordingly.
Liaise with other departments to ensure that product delivery meets deadline.
The ideal candidate should be a team player, be flexible and have the ability to deliver excellent customer service.
You should have the ability to work on your own initiative, be self-motivated and have a consistent work methodology.
Experience in a similar type role or in a position that demonstrated the above skills will be an advantage.

Additional Information: This is a Full Time Permanent Contract with a 6 month probationary period.
We need employees to be flexible about when they work, covering store opening hours, including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
The successful candidate will be required to attend a company induction day.
