Supervises planned layout of warehouse and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.Participates in the recruitment of employees for the warehouse.Manages operations in accordance with SOPs and improves these procedures as needed.Ensures operational resources are always sufficient to deliver a high level of service without allowing reduced efficiency.Ensures all complaints, issues, and failures are followed up rapidly, all stakeholders are communicated with, and all details are documented.Oversees regular maintenance of equipment and machinery.Plans, directs, schedules, and assigns jobs for warehouse staff.Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.Coordinates work activities of warehouse operations with other departments to ensure better efficiency and cohesion.Oversees cost control measures to strengthen gross profit and contribution.Maintains operational reliability of warehouse equipment and company assets.Acts as escalation contact for any operational issues within the station's operations.Trains employees on job-specific duties and develops employees through coaching.Suggests and shows initiative for process improvements.Effectively communicates with clients, vendors, and employees.Promotes, monitors, and maintains best practices in Health, Safety, Quality, and Security with their Team(s).Other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements Stand or sit for long periods of time.Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, and frequently climb or balance.Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds with hand truck/pallet jack and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand.Other Skills & Abilities Good planning and organizational skills.A skilled multi-tasker with strong attention to detail and high levels of confidentiality and discretion.A strong commitment to continuous improvement.Project Management Skills.Comfortable with managing people, plans, budgets, and reporting.SAP experience is a preference for this role.Working knowledge of safety and security procedures.WHY SHOULD YOU WORK FOR CRANE?
