Specific responsibilities include: Picking, packing and despatch of product in accordance with individual picking dockets provided by customer services.
Ensuring that checks are carried out and documented in line with the Order Processing SOP specifically that the batch number on the product packaging matches the batch number on the picking docket; updating the picking docket with a tick mark adjacent to each batch number to confirm that this check has been completed.
A similar check must be carried out when affixing the delivery label to the package, confirming that it matches the details on the picking docket exactly; initialling the docket to confirm this check has been completed.
Ensuring that deliveries are packed in such a way as to ensure the product is delivered in optimum condition and the risk of damage or interference in transit is minimised.
Ensuring that the warehouse is maintained in a clean condition, free from litter, dust and pests and free from spillage or breakage.
Maintenance of associated cleaning records.
Liaising efficiently with customer services staff in relation to all order queries.
Packing of fridge deliveries in line with the relevant SOP and in accordance with validated packing configurations.
The assessment of returned cool boxes and thermal packs for reuse potential.
Ensuring that the system for the replenishment and reuse of cool and frozen packs is adhered to.
Informing the warehouse manager and/or RP in the event of any temperature alarm activations.
Liaising with DPD on any delivery queries that may arise.
Remaining vigilant to the possibility of a product quality issue being observed at wholesale level.
Recognising, documenting and reporting deviations from standard operating procedures to the RP.
Goods-In Administrator Responsibilities include: Processing deliveries from suppliers in accordance with the Receipt of Goods SOP and EU GDP, ensuring that only goods which are as ordered and of an acceptable quality are transferred to saleable stock.
Reporting any discrepancies to suppliers, and, where required, to the RP and/or the Customer Services manager.
Logging such deliveries onto Sage against the relevant purchase order.
To ensure that medicinal products are stored in the warehouse in line with their labelled storage requirements.
To ensure that refrigerated products are handled with priority in accordance with Medisource Cold Chain Management SOP.
Verifying that cold chain conditions are intact on receipt.
To ensure that deliveries originate from approved suppliers.
The prevention of falsified medicines entering the distribution chain.
Quarantining any suspect products and informing the RP without delay.
Logistics experience beneficial.
