The Impact Youll Make in this Role As a Warehouse Shipping Controller, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by: Ensuring the smooth day to day running of the warehouse shipping function, includes collections and deliveries of finished goods, raw materials, spares components and non-inventory items.
Manage transport requirements to/from internal and external warehouses for all collections and deliveries and executing shipping requests in a timely manner.
Ensuring that all shipments are picked, packed, and transported in a manner protecting them from deterioration or damage while in shipment and transact related inventory movements and shipments on the Oracle ERP system.
Ensuring paperwork generated for all shipments is checked for accuracy, compliance and meets customer requirements.
Compiling the sterilizer weekly shipping plan, communicating to the sterilizer sites, monitoring, and adjusting the plan as required to align with business requirements.
Adhering to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Policies and any relevant other EHS documentation.
Ensuring that Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) & Good Documentation Practices (GDP) are followed.
Actively contributing to the enhancement of compliance initiatives for areas of responsibility including EHS, ISO 13485 Quality System and FDA requirements.
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Second level education or 3 years equivalent experience in a similar work environment.
Shipping or relevant industry experience, e.g., customs, exports, imports, dangerous goods legislation, etc.
would be a distinct advantage.
Strong people person who is a leader and communicates effectively with all levels of staff and management.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Must have excellent planning and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Capable of working on own initiative and meeting tight deadlines.
Computer literate with a strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Email, etc.
Experienced in the use of warehouse equipment e.g., Forklift, Reach Truck, Pallet Truck, etc.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Oracle experience would be an advantage or equivalent e.g., SAP ERP Database.
Logistics qualification or related training would be an advantage.
