Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor Location: Cork, Ireland Reports to: Warehouse Manager Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our Cork facility.
The successful candidate will ensure efficient warehouse processes, manage the team, and maintain safety and quality standards.
This role requires a hands-on leader with strong communication skills and the ability to drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Supervision & Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring all warehouse operations are carried out efficiently.
Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
Inventory Management: Oversee stock control and ensure accurate and timely updates of inventory records.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
Work closely with procurement, logistics, and other departments to ensure optimal stock levels and timely order fulfillment.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce errors, and improve overall efficiency.
Optimize warehouse layout and processes to maximize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
Health & Safety: Ensure the warehouse is operating in compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and ensure that all employees are trained on health and safety protocols.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational reports (e.g., stock levels, staff performance, KPIs).
Ensure all records related to inventory, shipping, and receiving are maintained accurately.
Key Requirements Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
