Weekend Manager

Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively and provide our customers with the very best customer service and fresh food offering at all times in a clean, safe environment during the weekends. To deliver on key store targets (sales and profitability) through effective management of people and operations.
The ideal candidate will have/be: Minimum 1 year's experience in a customer service facing roleExcellent communication skillsGood knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)Experience balancing cash/tillsHighly driven with a strong work ethicAn understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targetsCommerciality and brand awarenessPassion for grocery retailThe ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi-task under pressureThe ability to organise work, delegate responsibilities and support team members in the storeMain duties: Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and ImaginativeBe approachable and a role model who leads by example and encourages teamwork and a positive attitude in the workplaceLiaise with the weekday management/supervisors on any changes to layouts and ensure changes are correctly implementedSet the standard for other employees in relation to rotation, merchandising and facing offAssist in the induction, training and development of employeesDeal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policyEngage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working
