Keeping our people safe and well at work is a top priority at Amazon. Our Safety Specialists play an integral part in making this happen. In this role, you'll put the vital steps in place to make sure everyone at your location works in a safe and healthy environment. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a difference to people every day. By proactively keeping them safe, you'll also empower them to feel confident in their roles and motivated to do their best work.

You'll be based on location at one of our sites, which could be one of our fulfilment centres, sortation centres or delivery stations. Being on site means that you can keep a close eye on the processes. As well as helping us stay on top of health and safety compliance, you'll spot potential issues and identify opportunities for improvement. That means working closely with people across the business to get to know the risks they experience and gathering data to identify smarter and safer ways that we can work. You'll also set up training and other programmes to help everyone follow new safety processes and reach new standards.

Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. Our team works with managers, associates and local governments across our sites, making sure we're complying with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe.
There is a range of opportunities within the team, from Health and Safety Technicians to Programme Managers. No matter what your role is, you'll play a part in developing, implementing and upholding our high safety and wellbeing standards. You could work on a variety of projects alongside colleagues from across the business, ranging from equipment and process inspections to assessing processes, building and equipment design.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Education to a degree levelNEBOSH Diploma / NVQ5 Level or Equivalent qualificationUnderstanding of Irish Environment, health and safety legislationAdvanced proficiency in written and spoken English PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologiesRelevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadershipStrong stakeholder management capabilities
