Since 1988, we have been pioneers in sustainable dining, having employed the first Wild Food Forager in Ireland.
Position Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Part-Time Wild Food Forager to join our team.
In this rare opportunity, you will play a vital role in sourcing and foraging a variety of wild herbs, leaves, roots, fungi, nuts, and berries to enhance our culinary offerings.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with our Kitchen and Front of House teams to integrate foraged ingredients into our menu.
Forage independently and responsibly for a diverse range of wild foods.
Educate staff on the use and benefits of wild ingredients in our dishes.
Assist in the preservation and storage of foraged items using traditional methods.
Ensure all foraged foods comply with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications: Strong understanding of wild herbs, leaves, roots, fungi, nuts, and berries.
Previous experience in foraging or related fields is preferred.
Training in culinary arts is a plus.
Knowledge of traditional preservation methods is beneficial.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Passion for sustainable practices and local sourcing.
