Workspace Facilities Technician Overview The Workspace Facilities Technician holds the day to day operational responsibility for the delivery of AV  and FM services across the client floors.
This is a hands on role, specialising in AV, that will require a varied skillset including event support, portering and room set up, ad hoc facilities and minor maintenance tasks etc.
The individual will ensure the client space operates as smoothly as possible, so the client's employees are not distracted from their own work, by having to deal with premises and building related issues.

AV Responsibilities Setting up microphones, speakers, soundboards, and other audio devices.
Installing and configuring projectors, screens, video monitors, cameras, and video conferencing systems.
Setting up and programming stage lighting and effects.
Operating soundboards, video equipment, and lighting during live performances, presentations, or broadcasts.
Ensuring that all equipment works smoothly high-profile meetings and presentations Diagnosing and resolving technical issues that arise during day to day operations or during an event or session.
Working with clients or event organizers to understand their AV needs Understanding the technical aspects of audio, video, and lighting equipment.
Using software for video editing, sound mixing, or live streaming.
Setting up and managing networks for AV systems, especially in environments where live streaming or remote presentations are involved FM Duties Daily floor checks and meeting room checks to include AV; any issues reported immediately to the Site Managers and logged on CAFM system Liaise with and coordinate Floor Champions on site to maintain client requirements Conducting floor walks to monitor and manage housekeeping and cleanliness standards Weekly and monthly reporting to Account Manager General Duties Active management of communal storage areas, including all kitchenettes Set up and derig of event & meeting spaces at the request of the client FoH team, moving furniture and equipment General sweep & search of building to ensure everything in working order, no security issues etc.
Light maintenance duties e.g.
changing lights, repairing door handles etc First aid and fire marshal duties- training provided.
Willing to step up and fill any duties assigned by the site manger to include reception cover or support on an ad hoc basis Operates in a pro-active manner that supports the workspace team to anticipate customer needs Maintains and promotes strong customer relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure total alignment of the services provided.
Escalate any issues inc H&S to the Client & Site Managers Management Responsibilities This person will have task setting (but not line management) responsibility for the 6x Floor Champions working across the client floor.
Experience & Qualifications Event support which involves the use of industry standard audio mixing consoles, microphones as well as video switching hardware associated with broadcasting.
Zoom management of cameras, content etc that will be broadcast both locally and internationally.
Knowledge of the Cisco system of teleconferencing hardware to facilitate our clients in office.
Troubleshooting issues with audio and video equipment and software for both events and conference rooms.
Ability to coordinate across teams and offices in order to help with the creation of zooms and broadcast for clients.
As this role will require travel, the applicant should have the ability to work outside the UK (visas or resident status).
Running of events with SOP, and handling of hardware.
Monitoring of conference rooms including quickly responding to user requests via slack channels.
Rigging and derigging of AV setups on an event to event basis.
Successfully realise client briefs for events within timeframes to a high standard.
Continually meet the day to day user expectations of events and office conference room management.
Act as an ambassador for service delivery excellence Produce reports as required by the Head of CRE Operations and Services and wider business, including operational updates and reports with events.
Knowledge of audio mixing consoles, wireless microphones, video switching (ATEM hardware etc), knowledge in Adobe software is not required but is an added plus.
Ability to troubleshoot software issues and hardware issues associated with audio equipment and video equipment.
An understanding of signal flow for audio and video and the ability to quickly change and manage AV lines.
