Yard Operations Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Yard Operations Supervisor to join us in Dublin on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required to oversee the daily operations, ensuring efficient production, adherence to safety protocols, and proper management of waste materials. This role requires active on-site supervision, coordination of work schedules, and collaboration with internal and external teams to maintain optimal operational flow. RESPONSIBILITIES: ·Identify and implement best practices to maximise production efficiency and material recovery in the Construction & Demolition (C&D) processing plant and other plants as required. Maintain a continuous supervisory presence on-site, including in processing buildings and yard. ·Develop and manage work schedules for yard operatives, including machine operators, ensuring both operational needs and leave requirements are met. Provide short-term cover when necessary and arrange additional cover for holiday or sickness absences. ·Ensure all team members are fully trained, and that work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines. Coordinate with the Health & Safety department to ensure training records are up-to-date and compliant with regulations. ·Oversee the handling, separation, and delivery of waste materials to appropriate outlets in an appropriate and efficient manner. Ensure non-conforming incoming waste is reported and quarantined as per company procedures. ·Collaborate with internal and external hauliers to manage on-site stock levels and maintain them. ·Oversee the execution and continuous updating of the maintenance program for all production and mobile plant equipment on-site. ·Ensure pre-use equipment checks are completed before each shift, any defects are reported immediately, and the required corrective actions are implemented promptly. ·Provide accurate and timely information for weekly KPI reports, ensuring data is complete and reflects site performance. REQUIREMENTS: ·Proven experience in line management or supervisory roles, with responsibility for team oversight. ·Experience in a waste management facility is preferred but not essential. ·Licenses and experience in operating mobile plant equipment. ·Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate staff. ·This is a site-based role.
