Competitive salaryGain experience working on large scale projectsHuge Career Growth OpportunitiesPrivate Health care packageAccess to a company vehicleResponsibilities: Analyse construction drawings and specifications to identify labour, material, and specialist requirementsPreparation of enquiry documents, sourcing and obtaining material and subcontractor quotations including final negotiations and ordersNegotiate with suppliers and subcontractors on a regular basis to ensure budgets are not exceededLiaise with clients to agree rates/variations and cost analysisMeasure works as per contract specific schedule of ratesPreparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts within the agreed timescalesWorking closely with Management and Accounts to ensure accurate and vigorous cost management of the project to deliver a profitable outcomeProvide accurate and robust monthly reports for Management and Client Progress MeetingsAttend and participate in Site Progress MeetingsRequirements: Ideally have Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or in other related disciplines. (Applicants with HND/HNC or strong construction related experience will also be considered).Experience in Estimating / Quantity Surveying role within a Main Contracting organisation for at least 2 yearsPro-active with excellent commercial decisions.Communication skills and comfortable working with minimum supervisionBe able to demonstrate initiative whilst working in a team environmentProficient in Microsoft packages including outlook, word, excel and projectThe candidate will have access to a company vehicle and be provided with a full Health Care Package. Salary in the role will be totally dependent upon experience.
