Location: Dublin City Role: Senior Schemes Underwriter Senior Underwriter wanted for Global Insurance Group-Dublin City Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Schemes Underwriter to join our client, a leading Insurance Group based in Dublin City Centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a pivotal role in managing and developing a portfolio of schemes while driving growth through strong broker and client relationships.
Your Role: Underwrite new business and renewals in line with defined underwriting guidelines, budgets, and business plans.
Provide technical expertise on complex cases, ensuring sound underwriting decisions and compliant documentation.
Manage key accounts, focusing on profitability, growth, and retention.
Lead portfolio reviews and contribute to underwriting strategy, forecasting, and product development to enhance client retention and growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, representing the company at meetings and events.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational excellence and resolve issues efficiently.
Your Skills: Extensive experience in underwriting, ideally within schemes or affinity products.
Strong technical knowledge of insurance products and underwriting processes.
Proven ability to manage portfolios and deliver on financial targets.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Leadership qualities, including the ability to mentor and support team members.
Professional insurance qualification (e.g., CIP, ACII or equivalent) is required.
