Administrator We are looking to hire an Administrative Assistant who is immediately available for a temporary 35 hours per week contract until 31st December 2024. ·To provide the Centre with a comprehensive and professional administrative and support service. ·To assist in preparing reports, correspondence, and other documents as necessary and providing administrative support for meetings and taking minutes when required. ·Responding to queries and requests for information in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. ·Providing the highest quality standards in customer service when dealing with the public, stakeholders and internal staff whilst acting on feedback and reporting to line management. ·Taking ownership of assigned tasks and prioritising competing tasks in order to ensure that they are completed on time and to a high standard with excellent attention to detail. ·Maintaining systems e.g. Core, Agresso, Quercus, Blackboard etc. ·Carrying out routine accounts work for the Centre's professional support units if required. ·At all times working efficiently, using own initiative and as part of a team, in delivering services. ·Checking work thoroughly to ensure it is completed accurately and to a high standard. The post holder will report to the Access Academic Senior Manager She/he will have job contact with the: ·Head of Access Programmes ·Disability Officer ·Widening Participation officer ·Mature Students Officer ·Access Centre Staff ·Admissions Officer ·Director of Students Services ·Internal and External stakeholders and contributors to the Access, Disability, and Mature programmes. Skills, Competencies, and/or Knowledge ·The post will require initiative, organisational ability, excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills. ·The ideal candidate will demonstrate their ability to work in line with University policies and procedures and a commitment to providing a high level of customer service. ·All candidates will be expected to demonstrate these competencies in their application and at interview stage. The successful candidate will demonstrate the eligibility requirements below in terms of qualification, skills and experience: Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date of the competition have: ·Pass in 5 subjects at Leaving Certificate level (or equivalent) or a recognised post Leaving Certificate administrative/office technology qualification. ·At least 2 years' relevant employment experience, which demonstrates ahigh level of administrative support in a demanding office environment.
