Area Sales Manager – Timber Products

Job InfoLocation: Mid & South Wales and the whole of the South West going up to West Midlands

Package: Very competitive basic salary highly dependent on experience + Company Car + Benefits Package
This ASM role involves selling the company's full range of Timber products including Carcassed Timber, Timber panels, Decking, Lumber, Fencing & Chipboard. You will be selling 100% into independent builders merchants, timber merchants, and all members within buying groups such as NBG, Fortis etc. There will be some involvement at individual branch management level but the main interaction will be with Regional Directors/Senior Managers or at the head offices at smaller but Multi Branch Independent Merchants with Managing Directors & Purchasing Directors. Based from home and reporting to the Head of Group Sales UK. Lots of existing business but huge potential to develop new accounts.
CompanyThe company is an extremely well-established supplier of Timber materials used across Construction, Fencing & Timber Frame projects. They have grown both organically and through acquisition.
PersonMy client is ideally looking for a high-quality salesperson from within the Timber sector who has experience dealing with Independent Merchants or Buying Groups. If you don't have Timber product knowledge but can clearly demonstrate strong relationships & success in selling a construction product through Merchants/Buying groups, I am still keen to talk to you. You can be based anywhere in the South West region. You need to be driven, structured, dynamic, energetic, and able to show achievements in growing business through Merchants.
