Greenergys core business in Ireland is the importation, distribution and sale of fuel and convenience products.
These products are sold to a wide range of customer channels, including industrial, commercial, agricultural, domestic, wholesale and forecourt retail.
Greenergys acquired Inver Energy in 2017 and recently acquired Amber Petroleum.
The company has a network of over 100 branded forecourts operating under the Inver and Amber brands and currently operates 20 convenience stores under both a company-owned company-operated model and a company-owned dealer-operated model.
Job Overview Amber Petroleum Ltd trading as Inver Energy Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Manager for our Service station in Castlecomer The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the forecourt manager to manage the overall functioning of the store.
They will be expected to look after the day-to-day operations of the store in the managers absence and ensure maximum profitability for the store by delivering the best-in-class retail experience to our customers.
The key roles and responsibilities involved in this role include.
Ensuring that standards for quality, Customer Service and Health and Safety are met by providing a safe and clean store environment for customers and employees Keeping a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the store Motivating staff members to meet and surpass targets Passing on managerial communications to other members of staff and ensuring that these are implemented Maintaining and monitoring store inventory Training staff members and pursuing their own training in-store as well Ensuring that the store is clean, safe, and presentable for customers Developing as a potential leader and potential Store Manager Taking over responsibility for the store if the Manager is absent Ensuring the store is meeting targets and earning profits.
Managing the budgets and revenue for the store Being responsible for handling the cash for the store and reporting any discrepancies Maintaining store staff by recruiting, selecting, and training new staff when required Maintaining store staff job results by coaching, counselling and being involved in the disciplining process for employees in conjunction with the HR department.
Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives, and other pertinent issues Organising special promotions, displays and events.
Dealing with customer queries and complaints Maintaining operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures Qualifications and Experience IT Literate with excellent communication skills.
People skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
The ability to work in high-pressure situations.
Ability to read and understand sales data.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Self-motivated and enthusiasticwith a high level of confidence.
A strong work ethic.
Ability to display professionalism and reliability.
Previous retail Managerial experience is required.
