The Mercy Family Centre is a family resource service that provides early years care and education, adult education, and social service solutions to families in Dublin 8 and the surrounding areas.
This role will require that the person can work within multidiscipline and a multicultural environment where globalisation and migration is happening and a changing environment.
The candidate must show an ability to bring insight to support the changes being developed under the director of services and have the fluidity of thinking that can adapt and work in a fluid environment where change is happening at a micro and macro level and practical organisational skills while insight into adapting and being part of a development team.
Duties include: Daily Management of Roasters and Holidays and contractual issues including HR elements including: - Reviews - Sickness or illness - Holidays - Issuing of contracts Organisation of a team of early years practitioners, Office Team including CE Supervisor and Financial Administrator and Senior Curriculum Development officer, and ancillary staffs Reception, Maintenance Kitchen & Cleaning and grounds and building maintenance.
Review of building Service Contracts and Building Management and Maintenance costing and schedules for capital works and installations & Upkeep and reporting on completions and finance.
Daily management & review of maintenance of classrooms and aesthetics in line with indoor and outdoor environments.
Daily management of fee structure / intake list and placement list including implementation of departmental schemes and fee polies and compliances, preparation, reporting for site visits, compliance outcomes and requirements.
Organising of team meetings to support the operational review of curriculum development in line with Department Early Years Framework, the Department of Education and Skills (DES) and TUSLA Early Years Inspectorate.
Planning and overseeing implementation of all Health & Safety Policies and updates of Safeguarding and child Protection and early years suite of polices and all health and safety and environmental training for classrooms and Kitchens to ensure the polices match up the department updates and fulfil the criteria of departments and operation functions in the services including training and inductions of staffs in their relevant departments and ongoing CPD training as part of ongoing development.
