The Associate Director Consumer Devices Sourcing will be responsible for the development and implementation of the category strategy.
They will lead a team of Category Sourcing Experts (CSE's).
They will establish and execute sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, negotiation, risk management and supply base performance management.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic professional with a transformational approach to sourcing, with the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience to design and execute strategies in a global environment.
You will be responsible for a team of direct reports, working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing strategies to solve business problems.
The role involves: Collaborating closely with key business partners to understand their priorities and challenges; assess their needs on an ongoing basis; and manage their expectations.Partnering with our business stakeholders to develop and implement category & sourcing strategies.Driving all aspects of complex strategic sourcing process.Leading, managing, coaching & developing a team of CSE's.Ensuring that sourcing strategies result in and generate roadmaps of savings and value streams, and where appropriate, innovation opportunities.Negotiation planning and contracting with suppliers, ensuring that agreements reflect Verizon's needs globally.Developing category savings roadmap and maintaining and tracking savings.Executing supplier relationship management activities, effectively maintaining positive and ethical working relationships.Leveraging market dynamics and mitigating risk.Balancing short- and long-term objectives to meet business strategy and efficiencies in alignment with business stakeholders.Supplier rationalization – leveraging existing supplier base to appropriately consolidate products & services.Assigning resources to sourcing projects, tracking overall progress and ensuring successful completion of sourcing projects on-time.Strong leadership abilities with a proven ability to engage and influence collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.Managing all personnel-related activities such as recruitment, compensation planning, performance appraisals, personal development and team planning.Drafting customized development plans to ensure each team member focuses on training, improving skill sets and enhancing the value they deliver to the company.Taking on additional projects as needed to support business requirements.You'll need to have: Bachelor's or relevant work experience.Experience in Consumer Device Sourcing.Proven ability to drive change and transformation.Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes, policies, and procedures.Even better if you have: Experience in negotiation and cost management practices.Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.Experience in team leadership.Experience working in a fast-paced matrixed global environment.Project Management in complex multi-project and multi-geography environments.Self-motivated/self-starter with ability to work independently.Analytical and/or technical experience with strong attention to detail.Strong presentation skills and ability to prepare and present across multiple organizational leadership levels.If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.
