Bank Accounts Assistant

Role Purpose: This role works within our finance operations team specifically on managing our bank receipts/payments & reconciliations processes, plus assisting with treasury management.
Reporting to: Finance Operations Manager Team Lead
Main Accountabilities and Key Tasks:Day-to-day responsibility within the team for banking processes, including:Matching & recognition of daily receipts & payments across multiple entities, platforms and currenciesLiaising with other team members to correctly identify and accurately allocate all bank transactionsInvestigate all unknown transactions and communicate externally with banking partners to resolve all queriesOwnership of the bank reconciliation process, ensuring that all reconciling items are cleared in an efficient and timely manner, escalating to the manager where appropriateMaintaining up-to-date filing of invoices/statements, etc.Assisting with Treasury Management, including:Preparation of the FX exposure position, monitoring FX positionsFX trading to clear FX exposuresCreate bank payments to settle FX tradesBooking of interest received on deposits and of bank chargesMonitoring the Finance mailbox to ensure all e-mails are dealt with within appropriate timeframesCommunicating externally with banking partners on matters regarding our accounts/paymentsManaging the process for setting up new users on banking platformsAssisting with audit requests in a timely and accurate mannerSupporting the finance team in the delivery of timely and accurate monthly management financial informationWorking closely with other members of the Finance team on various ad hoc projects and general day-to-day operationsProvide support to other members of the Finance Operations team as requiredKnowledge and Experience3 years experience as part of a finance teamExperience and knowledge of working in a finance team in the technology or travel sectorsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesStrong organisational and multitasking abilitiesOwnership – will take responsibility for delivery of your objectives to the agreed standard and timelineExcellent attention to detailProficient Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with finance systemsAbility to motivate and engage team
