LOCATION Ballymagarvey Village Balrath Navan Co Meath Ballymagarvey Village is a beautiful private estate in the historic Boyne Valley and is an exclusive wedding venue hosting events from all over the world.
We are currently recruiting for Waiting Staff (Part-Time) to join our exciting and fast paced Banqueting Team.
The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, in a venue which provides excellent service to all of its guests.
Key Responsibilities: To consistently strive to reach the highest standards of performance through training, coaching and mentoring To ensure at all times that you operate in an effective and efficient manner to complete all tasks Participate in team meetings Promote a professional image of Ballymagarvey at all times To promote and maintain positive relationships with internal departments and guests Consistently show respect for individuals by treating them fairly at all times Key Tasks Determine staff needs and assist HR in the recruitment and selection process Assist Event Manager with Performance Management on an ongoing basis Assist with training and coaching of all new recruits Delegate Reception/Banqueting/Set- Up duties and tasks to meet objectives on day of Event Direct and supervise staff members to meet established Standard Operating Procedures during Event Complete and adjust weekly Banqueting roster in accordance with available resources whilst staying within the budgetary and regulatory requirements On the day of the event, allocate clear responsibilities to banqueting staff Monitor cleanliness and hygiene of Manor House/Banqueting Hall Check cutlery/crockery stock on a weekly basis and liaise with GM for additional supplies Promote and practice compliance with fire, health and safety and hygiene standards and regulations Plan necessary breaks for banqueting staff during the event Ensure that all banqueting staff act as one combined seamless team with the Bar team and other event management staff Deal with and follow up on complaints and ensure complaints are communicated to the relevant Heads of Departments, ensuring necessary documentation eg Incident Report is completed Participate in monthly Heads of Department meeting To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the General Manager Skills: Banquet Management Organization Staff Supervision Customer Skills Benefits: Free parking.
