My client based in the Dublin 24 area is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Bookkeeper to join their dynamic team.

The role in a nutshell: You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting their financial controller in managing the financial aspects of the business. Main duties include: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for operational needs. Generate invoices for clients accurately and in a timely manner. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments. Track and process company expenses, ensuring proper coding and documentation. Assist in controlling costs and identifying potential savings. Prepare regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Assist the financial controller in preparing budget forecasts and financial analysis. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and other financial reporting requirements. Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors when necessary. Assist in special financial projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed. Maintain organized financial records and documentation for easy retrieval and auditing. Implement efficient bookkeeping processes and recommend improvements when necessary. The ideal candidate will have the following: 3-4 years experience in bookkeeping, preferably within the construction/engineering industry. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAGE 50) and MS Office suite. Strong understanding of financial principles and practices. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Irish tax laws and regulations is a plus. Salary negotiable depending on experience.
