Design Engineer About the Company My client is one of Ireland's leading companies in Medical Device Engineering and they currently have an opportunity for a talented Design Engineer to join their team.
About the Position My client is currently recruiting for experienced R&D/Design Engineer.
Key Responsibilities Design and development of new medical products.
Product/process evaluation and associated record keeping.
Selection of raw materials, components and suppliers.
Fabrication of prototypes, and test products.
Communication with customers/Project Managers regarding project progression.
Resource for colleagues with less experience Product and process continuous improvement activities Other such duties as may be assigned from time to time by their Manager.
Adhere to company Health & Safety requirements.
Experience/Requirements Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar related discipline is essential.
5 years plus experience in similar role is essential.
Experience of working in a medical device environment would be an advantage though is not essential.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
Motivated, Self-starting with ability to work with a team and also independently Good problem solving ability Ability to take ownership of tasks and bring to successful conclusions.
Knowledge of a high-end CAD System, Ideally Solidworks.
Hands on approach to designing and fabrication Ability to work to strict international regulations regarding medical devices.
Training in company operating systems will be provided.
