About the Position Maintain and improve the condition of plant, equipment, utilities, buildings, and other services through preventative and reactive maintenance.
Help to maintain the security of the site and perform duties in pursuance of current Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
Support the Facilities Supervisor on all tasks as assigned via the company CMMS (Certified Maintenance Management System).
Key Responsibilities Building and Services Close out work orders as per company CMMS system.
Install and upgrade services when required.
Maintain and repair all buildings, building services, grounds, fixtures, and fittings.
Maintain company workwear stock.
Maintain air conditioning, heating, power, compressed air, water, and other site relevant services.
Manage the storage and removal of all waste from site, disposal of redundant equipment, complying with the legislation and company expectations.
Security and Safety Monitor and control factory security.
Deputise for opening and closing the plant in line with working hours.
Deputise as authorisation point with alarm monitoring company.
Support EHS with safety and control of contractors whilst working on site, permit to work, method statements and any other relevant requirements.
Reporting of accidents, incidents, near misses, and observations as per procedure.
Attend & adhere to training provided.
Plant and Equipment Carry out preventative maintenance on all facility equipment, operations lifting equipment, and update records.
Co-ordinate the PAT testing and logging of all portable equipment Maintain and update company plant & equipment register.
Support the installation of new plant and equipment.
Miscellaneous Duties Maintain stock levels for Facilities.
Be aware of and work within, any budget guidelines and constraints.
Maintain work area and equipment in clean, safe, and orderly condition.
Follow established company rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.
Assist in other areas of the Company as required against reasonable requests.
Cover for the Facilities Supervisor when absent.
Experience/Requirements Technical qualification is desirable but relevant trade/maintenance experience is acceptable.
Full Driving Licence Competent in maintenance activities / experience in a manufacturing environment an advantage Experience in CMMS an advantage.
Formal training in all safety and regulatory activities will be provided as required such as manual handling, work at height, abrasive wheels etc.
PPE will be supplied as required.
Training in company operating systems will be provided.
