Scope of RoleTo manage and develop Project cargo business customers, focused in the Ireland market.
As a member of the Ireland Industrial Projects team, the role will have overall accountability to develop a pipeline of business in the project cargo market sector, by leveraging the relationships with stakeholders in client organisations, who ultimately have responsible for project execution, and project logistics decisions.

AccountabilitiesKey AccountabilitiesTo manage the DHL Industrial Projects relationship with client representatives typically in senior procurement and logistics roles, provide country wide support for the Ireland Industrial Projects team, working in close cooperation with the Country IP Head, other IP country managers, country BD & sales teams, global and regional IP account team, regional and global bid teams within Industrial projects.Main Roles and Responsibilities:Project customer engagement at all levelsNetworking with the DHL IP offices and DGF offices Globally to ensure support from the network to commercialise and operationalise new opportunitiesFacilitate review meetings on current and new project opportunities with the targeted client companiesProvide support to the DHL regional bid team both technical and commercial creating bespoke responses to submit to the customerDirect input in preparation of Tender Submissions, meeting the specific deadlines, with a support of Regional & Global Bid IP TeamTo be able to write the technical responses and describe Project Management Processes and overall execution either through direct experience relevant to the project cargo businessAbility to explore alternative responses and solutions and think outside of the boxWorking collaboratively with the country teams to propose commercially and technically attractive solution to the project.Technical Project Logistics Experience - Has an excellent knowledge and understanding of Project specific requirements, understanding Contract Logistics, with one eye on the Competitor' Market Strategies and different Pricing strategies.
Having been involved in Project Industry with prior knowledge & background.Operations experience, understanding of Heavy Lifts / Out of Gauge Cargo movements and cost implications as it relates to projects.
Excellent understanding of INCOTERMS.
Ability to negotiate project and contract specific and market rates directly with suppliers.Coping with Pressure & Adversity - Has the skills to deal well with setbacks/ taking the attitude that most problems can be solved/ being able to find solutions to unexpected errors.

Ideally within the Project Logistics sectorProven track record managing large, complex customer accounts with a results-driven, customer-focused approach.Deep operational background in freight forwarding with strong knowledge of key products.Self-directed with the ability to work independently and meet targets.Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging at senior management and board level.Excellent time management, organisational skills, and experience leading cross-functional teams.Able to work under strategic direction (not micromanagement) and contribute to overall solution designExpected QualificationsRelevant third-level qualification desirable.Comprehensive knowledge of Industrial Projects (IP), supply chain management, and commercial awareness.Strong interpersonal, communication, and delegation skills.Proficiency in MS Office and general computer skills.Full, clean driving licence.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this role.
