Purpose of the Role Lead CapEx tail spend transformation project.
Aims of the project working in partnership with Global Category leads to define scope, targets and road map: Extend spend under procurement control to include CapEx projects below $5m.
Work in close collaboration with the technical team on specifications, performance outcomes, criticality etc to build out needs profile.
Work with external services providers and their customers to understand market options.
Work in partnership with Diageo shared services on model development.
Pull external market capabilities, Diageo internal capabilities and business needs to build out strategic options for review.
Lead on implementation, from design through testing to full roll out.
Skills and Experience Required Graduate or equivalent qualification and member of professional body, e. Several years' experience in CapEx Procurement.
Engineering degree or experience working within an engineering function desired.
Strong analytical and financial awareness including a strong understanding of financial goals & value drivers relevant to the CapEx.
Track record of generating insights to influence decision-making; good commercial foresight.
Need to be technically literate with proven record of using systems successfully.
Strong verbal, written and presentation; strong interpersonal skills Proven track record of consistent performance and delivery.
Ability to work with complexity and with collaborator groups with differing, perhaps conflicting priorities.
Ability to process regional requirements with multiple business partners and analyse, recommend and secure business alignment.
Ability to work with regional teams in the execution of recommendation and ongoing supplier performance management.
Strong track record across CapEx category management, sourcing and relationship management.

In close alignment with project team, develop and grow relationships with stakeholders, partners and suppliers for deeper insights into needs and capabilities; articulate requirements and deliver insights for greater collaboration.
Best in class capabilities.
Generate insights and opportunities from internal and external benchmarking, develop cost models to consider scenarios with suppliers and partners and build & evolve analytics capabilities that allow regular performance and delivery reviews.
Sourcing For any 3rd party solutions - Lead planning, preparation and application of the Negotiation Toolkit.
Lead or where appropriate work with other members of the procurement team on negotiating and closing contract(s).
Manage contracts and contract compliance through contract lifecycles.
Risk management Mitigate sourcing risks.Identify corporate, supply, supplier and other risks associated with new process and put mitigations in place, engaging all relevant stakeholders, partners and suppliers to ensure the mitigations are successful.
Apply and improve tools & techniques.
Apply Procurement best practice standard, ensuring the most recent and relevant approaches are always applied; use formal governance and peer review to ensure the quality and efficacy of risk management; contribute to development of standards.
Supplier relationship management Supplier relationship.
Establish standards, ways of working and trust relationships with global supplier(s); ensure standard processes are applied and that there is a good foundation for strong performance, risk mitigation and rapid resolution of issues.
Supplier performance.
Manage supplier performance through project life including improvement activities.
Supplier development.
In line with Procurement strategic supplier strategies, collaborate with suppliers to unlock breakthrough opportunities for the business; stimulate supplier capabilities to generate ideas for the future.
