Oliver James is currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity on behalf of one of our international banking clients, who are in the process of obtaining their European Banking License. To support this strategic growth, the business is looking to appoint a Vice President of Capital Stress Testing, a highly visible and autonomous role within the firm.
This newly created position will report to the Director for European Regulatory Policy.
Key Responsibilities:Leading and coordinating the firm's involvement in ECB stress testing exercises, working with various departments to ensure accurate data collection, modeling, and analysis.Effectively communicating capital stress testing initiatives and outcomes with senior management, regulators, and internal stakeholders.Continuously assessing the bank's capital adequacy, identifying risks, and recommending practical actions to address potential vulnerabilities.Collaborating with group-wide teams to develop and manage a set of stress scenarios that reflect macroeconomic trends and firm-specific risks.Overseeing the development, implementation, and enhancement of the bank's ICAAP framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and sound risk management practices.Participating in committees, forums, and reviews concerning ICAAP and other regulatory stress testing efforts.Staying current with industry trends, identifying emerging risks, and exploring new methods for capital stress testing.Leading interactions with Internal Audit, monitoring regulatory issues, and managing audit findings and corrective actions.Mentoring and managing a team of professionals, providing guidance, training, and support for their career development.Ensuring that all stress testing exercises comply with local regulations and the firm's policies, including the Model Risk Management and Enterprise Stress Testing policies.Our client offers a competitive remuneration package and a flexible hybrid working arrangement based in their Dublin city centre office.
