We are looking to recruit an energetic, initiative-taking, and enthusiastic person who wishes to join our fast-paced operations team.
Your Role: This is a hands-on role which will keep you challenged in a busy port while providing support to ship and terminal will involve working evening, night and weekends in support of operations as part of a team where you will utilise your skills.
Required Skills: Highly adaptable, with a flexible approach to working hours and tasks Strong communicator, fluent in both spoken and written interactions Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with a sharp analytical mindset Performs calmly and effectively under pressure Collaborative team player who values shared goals and success Strong commitment to safety, with a keen awareness of protocols Self-motivated, with a proactive, can-do attitude Independent self-starter, ready to take initiative and deliver results Qualifications and Experience: Prior experience operating cargo handling equipment, heavy transport vehicles, and machinery is required and will enhance training across a range of cargo handling equipment.
Experience in a port environment is beneficial, though not essential.
Relevant experience with heavy transport, plant machinery, or other types of industrial machinery will be a strong asset.
On-the-job training will be provided; however, candidates must hold a full drivers license (car or HGV).
