About the role: As a Casualty Claims Adjuster you will be: Handling a portfolio of EL, PL, Product liability and commercial motor fleet claims from notification to conclusion, within your agreed authority limit.
Handling claims including appointing investigators and expert witnesses.
Instructing defence solicitors on litigated claims and attending court when required.
Working closely with brokers and AIG policyholders on the resolution of claims and provide a high level of customer service, including client review meetings.
Reserving accurately in line with AIG's claims reserving philosophy.
Communicating with internal AIG stakeholders where required.
Timely, accurate and customer focused claim resolution, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expense.
What we're looking for: Experience in motor bodily injury and or liability claims handing.
A basic knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation / procedural requirements for their line of business.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Time management - ability to manage and prioritise workload and diary management.
Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
CIP qualification or working towards same.
