JOB DESCRIPTION The Category team is critical to enabling the business to make insight-led decisions.
The Category Executive must be able to translate data to insight and insight into recommended actions, always putting the shopper and consumer at the heart of everything we do.
The team provides expertise in three areas: 1.
Category Management, 2.
Mix Management, and 3. Business Intelligence, playing a highly cross-functional role, collaborating heavily with internal teams, retailers, agencies, and brand principles.
The key objective is realizing insight-led opportunities that will grow category and brand sales and enhance market share sustainably.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Category & Planogram Execution Understanding of the macro environment, retailer, and shopper trends, recommending appropriate tactics.Strategically develop customer Category plans that integrate with the customer's overall business goals.Deliver planogram management and creation centered on objective insights and/or brands' Category Principles – fair share of space, enhanced SKU mix, shelf position, and segmentation.Monitor implementation and review recommendations seeking continuous opportunities for growth.Delivering Insights, Creating Action Turn insights into actions within retailers by executing, analyzing, and evaluating category plans & data.Utilize insights to help field sales win on the ground.Price, Promotion, Mix, NPD, and Distribution analysis focusing on opportunities to grow.Maintain monthly performance reports and present to brand principles & internal stakeholders.Deliver and own internal business intelligence suite and make tactical and strategic recommendations.Attribution & data maintenance, report automation, and ensuring front-end visuals are enhanced.What does Good look Like Volume growth, enhanced Value Share, increased share of shelf, range growth, and secure Category Partnerships.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree with modules that relate to the consumer goods industry.Knowledge of product-based data and how to conduct analysis.Understanding of the importance of data, automation, and visualization.Familiar with Planograms and logic on how stores are laid out.Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint.Logical approach and ability to tell impactful stories.Strong organizational and planning ability.Innovative, solution-oriented mindset with a drive to learn and ask 'why'.Self-motivated and able to work independently.Strong collaborator with effective and impactful communication style.
