Follow recipes and presentation specifications, adjusting as necessary to meet guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
Kitchen Station Management: Manage a specific section of the kitchen, including mise en place, cooking, and plating, ensuring efficiency and organization.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in your designated area, following all food safety regulations.
Quality Control: Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients, ensuring that only the best products are used in dishes.
Taste and visually inspect dishes before serving to guarantee they meet the establishment's standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to create and develop seasonal menus, incorporating fresh, local ingredients.
Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.
Inventory and Ordering: Assist in managing inventory levels for your station, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
Keep track of food costs and portion control to maintain budgetary goals.
Compliance with Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all kitchen staff.
Implement proper food storage practices and rotate stock according to FIFO (First In, First Out) guidelines.
Requirements: Experience: Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a high-end kitchen, ideally in a fine dining or luxury hotel setting.
Culinary Skills: Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Ability to prepare a wide variety of dishes with attention to detail and creativity.
Teamwork and Leadership: Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong leadership abilities to guide and inspire junior staff members.
Communication: Effective communication skills to interact with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business.
