Chief Audiologist

Role Summary / Job Purpose: The Chief Audiologistis responsible for the operational management of the AudiologyService providing clinical governance, professional supervision and operational day to day running of the Audiologyservice in St. Vincents University Hospital and St. Michaels Hospital. It is envisaged that the post will have a 20% management and 80% clinical commitment. The Chief Audiologist will work closely with the Head of HSCPs and the six ENT consultants and their teams to provide a high quality efficient service in line with developing national and international standards. The Audiology Dept. provides rapid access diagnostics to a variety of specialities in addition to ENT; oncology, CF, medicine for older persons, neurology and acute medicine. It also, provides a service to other acute hospitals and rehabilitation units within the HSE Dublin and South East Region.
