Chief Engineer - M&E Location: Dublin (on site) The Chief Engineer - M&E Services will take charge of the seamless operation of cutting-edge mechanical and electrical systems for a hyperscale data centre.
This pivotal role combines leadership, innovation, and technical expertise to oversee and optimize M&E operations, maintenance, and energy management.

Reporting to the Data Centre Manager, this full-time, permanent role offers a competitive remuneration package.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Manage M&E services maintenance and assist with OpEx and CapEx budgets.
Supervise technical staff, including direct employees and external contractors.
Act as SME for M&E services operations.
Oversee operational procedures and preventative maintenance programs.
Coordinate with project teams on commissioning and readiness.
Champion health and safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and legislation.
Maintain accuracy of safety files, drawing registers, and operational documents.
Respond to emergencies and customer concerns.
Administer inventory control for parts and supplies.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS 7+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in the data centre industry.
Time-served mechanical/electrical apprenticeship or a relevant Bachelor's degree.
Experience with data centre start-up and commissioning is a plus.
Strong understanding of critical M&E system infrastructure.
Proven track record in managing M&E services, either directly or through third-party providers.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, safety files, and operational manuals.
Excellent team player and communicator, with experience reporting to key stakeholders
