Civils Quantity Surveyor | Dublin Opportunity to work on large, prestigious civil projects. Excellent career development opportunities. Oradeo Recruitment is immediately seeking an ambitious and motivated Civils Quantity Surveyor for a civil engineering contractor to be based in Dublin.

Upon successful appointment, the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the management of projects, budget preparation and estimates, progress reports, final account preparation, client interaction, and attending various design team/site meetings. The successful candidate will report to the Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager and must have knowledge and experience of working on GCCC projects.

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities: Take Off's/ Compile BOQ from drawings Assess Drawings, BOQ & Work Requirements at Tender Stage and Spot issues with drawings in tender documents. Attend Project Meetings Variation/Additional Work management on Live Projects Implement and ensure risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets are reviewed and updated monthly and included within monthly reports. Advise on contractual matters – general and project level. Identify contract grounds for claims. Look for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce cost. Value Engineering Ensure risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets are reviewed and updated monthly and included within monthly reports. BIM Implement BIM 3D Model of Jobs reviewed with Contract Team at Tender/Contract Award Stage As-Built Role will include weekly site visits and offer expertise where and when needed. Programming, both for Irish contracts and NEC Traffic Management Plans Work Methodologies and Method Statements Necessary Requirements: Educated to degree level and working toward the relevant professional accreditation 4-5 years + experience in a similar role GCCC Project experience essential Negotiation skills Contract/commercial appreciation Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to effectively utilise a range of technology platforms Be fully conversant with the use of the Standard Method of Measurement Demonstrate ownership/commercial awareness Effective time management, organisational, interpersonal and negotiation skills
