Clinical Nurse Manager 3 - Surgical Hub

The provision of purpose built surgical hubs will provide timely care to patients, giving them the right treatment, at the right time, in the right location.
The objectives of the surgical hub is to provide standalone/ ring-fenced facilities for day elective services ensuring designated access to beds/operating theatres/OPD facilities etc.
and recovery facilities.

The surgical hub aims to:

1.
Reduce waiting lists meaning no patient waits longer than the 12 weeks recommended by Sláintecare.

2.
Reform and redesign the existing system to efficiently manage elective surgical cases, to maximise throughput of the facility.

3.
Improve access to care, with streamlined patient pathways to meet the needs of the population.
