Our client, the Beacon Hospital, are seeking a full time Clinical Specialist Radiographer in CT.
The position of Clinical Specialist Radiographer involves leading, guiding, and supervising radiographic staff, ensuring effective daily service delivery, and adapting to a changing work environment. Flexibility and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed are essential.

Core Responsibilities: Lead daily PET/CT services, ensuring efficient resource use and service quality, including customer service and technical performance.Help create and implement operational guidelines, audit usage, and advise on equipment needs.Monitor service plans, report implementation progress, and maintain accurate clinical data systems.Manage equipment maintenance and performance, including preventative maintenance scheduling based on clinical needs.Stay informed of developments in PET/CT and apply best practices.Assist with financial planning and implement budget control measures.Provide professional advice to patients and staff (radiographers, radiologists, nurses, etc.).Promote staff and patient safety, assist with risk management, and support health and safety strategies.Oversee staff training, including trainees and students, ensuring adequate staffing.Investigate complaints, accidents, and incidents, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and maintaining a quality assurance program.Ensure adherence to radiation safety principles and EU regulations on ionizing radiation.Adapt work patterns to accommodate service demands, including extended hours if needed.Quality Assurance: Assist with policy development and quality improvements.Conduct departmental audits and assist in accreditation preparation.Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.Postgraduate qualification in Nuclear Medicine or PET/CT.CORU Registration.A management course is desirable but not mandatory. Experience: At least 6 years in the modality or 3 years with a postgraduate qualification.Experience in SPECT/CT, PET/CT, and radiopharmacy.Proficiency in IV cannulation and administration. Skills and Competencies:
Ability to manage clinical and non-clinical situations under pressure.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to take responsibility, show initiative, and contribute to service quality improvements.Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
