Clinical Specialist Ultrasound

We are seeking an experienced Sonographer to join a leading public hospital in South Dublin as a Clinical Specialist in Ultrasound on a temporary contract.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing essential ultrasound services as part of a dedicated radiology team.
Key Responsibilities: Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging across various specialties, including abdominal, musculoskeletal, vascular, gynecological, and obstetric ultrasound.
Provide clinical expertise in ultrasound procedures, ensuring best practice and adherence to hospital protocols.
Interpret and report on ultrasound findings, liaising with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely diagnosis and patient care.
Act as a clinical leader, supporting and mentoring junior sonographers and radiography staff.
Engage in quality assurance and participate in ongoing service improvement initiatives within the radiology department.
Requirements: BSc in Radiography or equivalent, with postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound.
CORU registration is essential.
Minimum of 6 years of ultrasound experience, including specialised knowledge in a variety of ultrasound modalities.
MSc in Ultrasound.
Strong commitment to patient care, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload efficiently.
