Ohshima Ireland LTD is currently seeking an experienced CNC Operator/Setter to join our team based in our facility in Shannon, Co. Clare.This organisation has worldwide expertise but also a local presence within our specialized field. This will be a key role in the company and requires someone coming from a fast-paced multi national company background. Job DescriptionSet and operate various models of CNC milling machines with precision and attention to detail.Work to tight tolerances and ensure the quality of output by inspecting your own work.Understand CNC nomenclature and make minor program alterations as needed.Run proven CNC programs, adjust work coordinates, and correct any errors.Perform 1st off inspections or obtain clearance from the Quality Department.Take ownership of your working area, maintaining it according to 5S lean manufacturing principles.Collaborate with managers to implement company policies and meet business objectives.Follow health, safety, and environmental protocols, reporting risks as appropriate.Assist in the application of continuous improvement techniques, reducing changeover times and standardizing tooling/programs.Apply machine maintenance per schedules.Complete all relevant paperwork and digital records accurately.Support the achievement of cell output to agreed schedules and assist with projects aimed at increasing machine uptime.Required Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience in CNC machine operation and setupStrong understanding of CNC programming and ability to make minor adjustments as needed.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.Ability to work independently and understand all aspects of the manufacturing process.Please note that this role requires candidates to be currently residing in Ireland with a valid work permit.
