Are you a skilled Commercial Insurance professional looking for your next challenge? Our client is seeking a dedicated Commercial Account Handler to manage a diverse portfolio of commercial business clients. Your responsibilities will include handling renewals, queries, cover instructions, mid-term amendments, and claims, with a focus on retaining existing business. This role can be based either in Galway or Castlebar, Co Mayo and offers a competitive salary package along with hybrid work and supported career progression for the right candidate. The Role Responsibility for the handling of a range of commercial business clients, handling renewals, queries, cover instructions, mid-term amendments, claims etc. with an emphasis on, but not limited to, the retention of existing business. Policy types will include: Commercial Combined, Combined Liability, Motor Fleet, Shops and Offices, Property Owners, Directors and Officers, Cyber and Professional Indemnity. Working closely with clients, insurers and colleagues, carefully managing and maintaining information / documentation for prospects and clients. Establish and maintain relationships with key insurance contacts Timely reporting of relevant information Adherence to compliance standards and relevant codes as appropriate (such as Consumer Protection Code 2012) Actively participate in team meetings The Person Experience & knowledge in a commercial insurance broking or direct insurer environment is required. APA / CIP qualification (commercial lines) is required as minimum and subject to Fitness and Probity Standards A customer focused team player, committed to providing an excellent service and retaining clients through developing and cementing long term relationships Strong interpersonal skills essential Benefits Salary: 35-45k Performance Bonus Annual Leave: 20 Days p.a. increasing by 1 day every 3 years Wellbeing Day: Paid day off Death in Service Benefit: x 4 times earnings Hybrid after training Qualifications: Insurance exams fully funded plus insurance institute membership paid for on an annual basis Skills: Commercial Insurance Customer Focused Communication team player Benefits: Work From Home
