About the Role As a Manager in Complex Valuation Services, you will play a critical role in managing and enhancing client relationships, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic initiatives to deliver accurate and compliant valuations. This role involves direct client interactions, including liaising with board members, valuation committees, and potential investors. You'll lead and mentor a team, lead performance reviews, and actively participate in new client conversions and systems implementation projects, all while maintaining a high standard of service delivery and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with multiple departments, including Reconciliations, Client Integrations, and App Support, as well as senior management locally and globally.Represent the company in client meetings, including board meetings and Valuation Committees, ensuring client needs are met to the highest standards.Oversee training and guidance for team members, conduct performance appraisals, and support team development.Lead strategic projects, system implementations, and workflow enhancements, with a strong focus on client service and operational efficiency.Conduct pricing models to independently value derivatives held by hedge fund clients.Investigate OTC pricing exceptions and variances, working with clients and team members to resolve pricing issues and address valuation inquiries.Review and enhance fund Valuation Policies, while keeping up-to-date with industry and accounting standards (e.g., FAS157).Undertake analysis of client Level 3 asset valuations, methodologies, and market trends.About You Degree qualified with a 2:1 or above in Engineering, Math, Physics, Finance, Economics, or a related field from a top-tier university.Advanced qualifications (CFA, MBA, Master's in Finance) are a strong advantage.At least 5-7 years' experience in a similar field, such as Derivative Valuation, Risk Management, Quantitative Research, Financial Engineering, or OTC Trading.Prior experience with senior client engagement and representation at board-level interactions.Experience managing a team or coaching junior team members is desirable.Strong quantitative skills, including calculus, statistics, and financial math, alongside an in-depth knowledge of financial markets and derivatives valuation.Highly proficient in Excel, VBA, and SQL; programming experience and a strong interest in technology are beneficial.A sound understanding of risk analysis fundamentals, financial models, and industry conventions.What Now?
