During your apprenticeship, you will be paid a weekly wage, financially supported for travel to college, or provided with accommodation.

With BAM's construction sites located across the country, we endeavour to place you in a location of your choice—helping you answer the question, "What if my future starts here?"  Your mission This apprenticeship is a 4 year programme consisting of 7 phases.
4 on-the-job and 3 off-the-job in a training facility.
By the end of your training, you will be able to: Service, repair and overhaul various types of systems including electrical systems, brake systems, transmissions, suspension systems, engines and more Use specialised equipment to check the operation of the mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and other systems Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems Dismantle, examine and re-assemble mechanical systems and components Perform full servicing of an air conditioning system of an automotive vehicle Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems Control or adjust the operation of equipment.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a school or college leaver who is looking to start their career in the construction industry.
You'll need good communication skills, be an excellent team worker but also be able to use your initiative.
As this is an apprenticeship, you must be prepared to work towards your qualification whilst also working on site and gaining the experience you need to succeed.
To undertake this apprenticeship, you must:  Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a QQI Level 5 (or equivalent).
Have a Pass Grade in Maths & English at Level 5 (or Equivalent) at time of start date What's in it for you?
On Completion of  this four-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified construction plant fitter, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Construction Plant Fitting.
