Controls Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Controls Engineer to join a global, world renowned company. The role will see you responsible for the development and commissioning of automation and control systems as well as automation and control systems design, specification, programming, simulation and testing. Working closely with the Senior Project Engineers, this role will allow growth and development for the right individual.

ResponsibilitiesOverseeing the specification, development, installation, and validation of automation projects, focusing on control systems.Leading project team discussions, providing technical support, and making informed decisions regarding hardware and architecture selection.Collaborating with OEM teams to design, develop, and test PLC code in compliance with site coding standards.Working closely with OEM and project teams to fine-tune PLC code during the testing and development phases, conducting system testing and troubleshooting to resolve issues or bugs.Developing and testing various aspects of automation systems, including robotics, vision, PLC, HMI/SCADA, and Motion Control.Ensuring the completion of control-related aspects of projects within the allotted schedule and budget.Evaluating existing technologies and processes, researching and implementing new control technologies.Coordinating and managing the control elements of equipment build and debug.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.About YouBachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years in a Senior Systems Engineering role with knowledge of control system engineering and the operation of complex electro-mechanical systems.Experience with HMI/SCADA systems, PLC programming languages, and expertise in Process Automation and Systems Integration, with strong knowledge of Allen Bradley control systems.Proven track record in taking ownership, accountability, and responsibility, and delivering solutions efficiently.Proven experience with computer validation/SDLC requirements and automation change control procedures (e.g., GAMP 5).If you are interested in the above role then please apply or get in touch to discuss further.
