The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking, telecom experience a plus with a proven track record in managing credit risk.
This role involves assessing, monitoring, and mitigating credit risks to ensure the financial stability and growth of the organization.Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities:StrategyDevelop and recommend changes to credit scoring policies for customer profiles collaborating with key stakeholders across all Vodafone channelsUtilise customer data to shape risk segmentation and mitigation policiesProfiling customers in the debt cycle using data analysis and data mining techniques, to understand the debt and risksProactively identify credit risk issues and coordinate resolution managementPerform detailed quantitative and qualitative credit analysis of new and existing Vodafone customers and deliver recommendations and assessment of credit riskAssessment of credit risk for all products and services, executing governance and controls.
Ensuring credit risk strategies are effective to minimise bad debt provisions, bad debt write off and customer churnInstil culture of continuous improvement across all credit risk practicesIdentify process gaps/tool enhancements and partner with key stakeholders to implement a scalable, stable and secure solution.Stakeholder ManagementCommunication and presentation of all Credit Risk and Credit Management KPIs and creation of reporting packs for all stakeholders within the businessCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsImplement regular governance meetings with key stakeholders to evaluate performance of credit risk strategies, providing insights and propose recommendations or initatives.PerformancePerformance management reporting on key credit risk policies, strategies and scorecards and KPIsReporting regularly Head of Credit Management, CFO and Financial management and business on scorecard and credit risk performance Documentation of all credit risk strategies and processesVendor ManagementThe Credit Risk Manager with Vendor Management responsibilities will oversee the assessment and monitoring of credit risks associated with vendors.
This role involves ensuring vendor compliance with credit policies and maintaining strong relationships to mitigate potential risks.Project ManagementThe Credit Risk Manager with Project Management responsibilities will lead and manage credit risk projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
This role involves assessing and mitigating credit risks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirementWe Are Looking For You, If You Have:Essential5 years within similar role within multinational environmentFinance degree, Accountancy qualifications, Credit Risk qualificationsExcellent analytical skill, with coding experience and a good understanding of dataProven track record of success in utilising a collaborative approach to finding solutions to credit risk problemsAbility to critically evaluate and interpret complex information gathered from multiple sources and translate it into tangible business and customer impactsSignificant experience of credit management in a mass consumer technology-based service industry Strong knowledge of financial statements including a firm understanding of how to use these to assess credit riskSkilled at presenting at executive committees, leading meetings Advanced excel and data mining skillsExperience using SQL, Power BI, Python, SAPDesirableTelecom experienceWho we are:Vodafone is pioneering Ireland's gigabit society.
