We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cross trained Radiographer to join a dynamic team. This hospital has experienced significant growth in recent years, and the Radiology manager is now seeking an experienced Cross-trained Radiographer to join the team on a permanent basis. You will have the option to work full-time or part-time with this opportunity. The Successful Candidate: You will become an integral part of a team of leading Radiologists. Position Overview As a Cross trained Radiographer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services and ensuring optimal patient care. You will be competent in operating the imaging equipment and related software. Key Responsibilities: Operate CT or MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Follow prescribed protocols and guidelines for each imaging procedure. Adjust equipment and controls to set exposure factors and positioning. Maintain and calibrate CT/MRI equipment, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs. Stay current with developments in radiographic technology and techniques. Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology to optimize imaging. Greet and prepare patients for CT/MRI procedures, ensuring they understand the process and any potential risks. Provide clear and compassionate communication to alleviate patient anxiety. Obtain and review patient history, ensuring all information is accurate and complete Accurately document imaging procedures, patient interactions, and any required administrative tasks. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze imaging results. Utilize PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) for image storage and retrieval. Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment. Participate in departmental meetings, quality assurance programs, and continuing education initiatives. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and radiography students, as needed. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in CT /MRI imaging. Eligibility Criteria: Must hold a Diploma/Degree of Radiography. Must hold CORU registration You will have a minimum 1-year experience working in a CT or MRI or Cath Lab, in a hospital setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Commitment to continuous professional development and education. Excellent time management skills and clear attention to detail Excellent Communications skills and the ability to support and contribute to the team.
